Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Official Headsets

When you are a gamer, having the best sound is key to winning the next match, especially in a hardcore FPS like Call of Duty. The sound helps you determine where those footsteps are coming from or maybe the gunshots that you hear while the enemies Counter-UAV is up. Turtle Beach has announced its official line of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 headsets for the perfect gameplay. The sets start in the lower end with earbuds and work their way up from the Kilo, to the X-Ray, to the Sierra, and finally to the Tango.

Black Ops Earbuds

I take it that these earbuds aren't meant for gameplay. The earbuds are very comfortable and will be able to fit inside of the jack on your iPod or cell phone or PSP. The earbuds are noise-cancelling, which is a great feature to have and will appeal to everyday people.

Kilo-Tango

These headsets are the ones that are meant for the actual gamer. The earpads are made of actual leather, which is comfy, and will help people out after a long gaming session. The X-Ray headset uses rechargable batteries, which may be a hassle after the batteries die out, but even the Xbox controller uses batteries, so it looks like same-old to me. The higher-end headsets like the Sierra and Tango feature sound settings made by Treyarch to enhance gameplay. The sound settings can be made where you can hear only the feet or maybe the explosions in the game, which helps if you have a certain way you play. All of the headsets include a microphone for talking to teammates and such.

The Black Ops 2 headsets are very stylish and sound great, and I expect them to enhance anyone's gameplay experience.

FIFA 13 Sales Very Strong

FIFA 13 came out last week and boasted great sales all around. About 1.23 million copies were sold in the UK in the first 48 hours of release, which helpemd to make FIFA the second videogame franchise ever to sell more than 1 million units in the U.K. within one day.

According to EA, FIFA 13 is still selling many copies all around with over 4.5 million copies sold across all platforms worldwide in the past five days, making it the biggest videogame launch of 2012 thus far. Though it's the biggest videogame launch, it has taken its place as the biggest sports videogame launch of all time. I believe that this November, though, Black Ops 2 will take its place, and it will become the biggest videogame launch of 2012, and maybe even of history if the franchise can continue its sales rampage.

For those of us who probably don't want to get too caught up in the advancement of the other popular FPS's such as Call of Duty or Battlefield probably want a game that can soothe the want for a good FPS. I was looking for one of these games today, and stumbled over a relatively new one, BeGone. The game is still in its infancy and doesn't include many perks or special things, but is still a good game to check out, The graphics aren't very demanding on anyone's PC, and even if they are,

Slender the Next Dead Space?

Sure it may not be set on a space ship with giant aliens attacking you, but it still can be classified as a survival horror game. The relatively new game, Slender, puts the player inside of the woods in the middle of nowhere where he/she has to find 8 sheets of paper. The 8 sheets of paper are put in random places each time you play the game, so it is impossible for someone to "master" the game. The main part of the game is that you are getting chased by a unknown man with very long limbs named "Slenderman". As you collect each sheet of paper, the stomping noise that Slender makes gets louder and louder each time. The game presents you with a flashlight that has a limited battery, so the player has to turn it off from time to time. Also "from time to time", the player will see Slender, a white male with long limbs, and has to run away from him. To reduce the chances that Slender catches the player, he/she must turn off their flashlight both to stop Slender from seeing you, and to give the flashlight  a break so you can use it later. If you stare at Slender for too long, the player is caught by Slender and the game ends and shuts down. Also if the player isn't fast enough, Slender will turn you around, and the player gets to see Slender's blurry white face as the game shuts down. As I was playing the game I had to say that it was very intense and scary, and kept me up at night. The game mixes a very simple definition of strategy with horror and survival, and is a very good game. The game is very good in the sense that it puts you in a situation that could actually happen. You could go in the woods and someone could be there waiting to steal you, while on the other hand, you couldn't be out on a spaceship with a big pack of monsters wanting to eat you, which is why this game is so simple, but yet so fun. The game is scary and I suggest everyone give it a quick swing and see how many pages you can collect, I have went up to 3, but see if you can get all 8!

PC Piracy Good for Gamers, Bad for Developers

Piracy is a double-edged sword, it hurts the developers and publishers, and gets the downloaders free games. The most popular way of getting pirated software is heading to a torrent site and downloading a torrent through a host. Even though it sounds like you are just getting a free game, and the developers aren't hurting that much, once you look at it on a bigger scale, it really does hit the developers hard. According to gamepolitics.com, in 2009, mobile developers  only, lost 41.5 billion dollars to online piracy. We have all pirated one thing here or there, whether it's that new FPS or MMO membership, piracy hurts the developers bad, and even though it probably willnever end, it is one thing that many gamers should stop.
